SCHOOL @ HOME

Thanks to our brilliant staff we are ready to roll out learning from home with Google Classrooms and online resources, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday the 24th of March. As encouraged by the Premier, students who can learn from home are recommended to stay at home. Each student has been allocated a staff contact person and will be notified who that person is. This staff member will regularly check in to update, troubleshoot and work out any student academic or wellbeing concerns. Staff will hand out or home deliver an offsite learning pack for each student. We will be operating with a timetable for teacher access, which will also be available on the website. A student’s attendance will not be affected by working from home.

As wellbeing and connections are at the forefront of what we do well here at SSC, we are encouraging students and families to remain in touch via Facebook, the website and phone contact. At this stage all staff will be on site to field questions and concerns. This is a great opportunity to upskill and practice our ways of doing things differently… “school but not as you know it!”
